Lutheran College Gospel to Perform at Two V.I. Venues

March 10, 2008 – Pastor Harvard Stephens Jr., former pastor of Frederick Lutheran Church, will accompany the Gospel Messengers Choir of Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisconsin, who are bringing their music ministry to the United States Virgin Islands. Under the direction of Gloria Tillman-Kemp, the group sings a blend of gospel music with powerful testimony to present the message of Jesus Christ on campus and in the broader community. They have performed throughout the United States and internationally.
The choir will perform in concert at 4 p.m., on Palm Sunday, March 16, at Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. Thomas. The choir will also join in a celebration of V.I. Music History Month by singing in Emancipation Garden at noon, on Thursday, March 20.
