What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

May 6, 2008 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1-3 p.m., on Sunday, May 11. This Sunday we will feature music by the Frank Sinatra, Carolyn Wonderland, the Mannish Boys, Eva Cassidy, Eric Burdon, Irving Berlin and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Sinatra at the Movies." As often happens when musical greats pass away, the artist's catalogue is re-packaged and with this release Capitol records has put together a great collection of Sinatra tunes that he recorded for various films.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Miss Understood" from Texas guitarist extraordinaire Carolyn Wonderland, who also shows off her vocal prowess on this collection of bluesy and "rootsy" tracks.
We play new music from Gary Louris, Mark Olson, the Mannish Boys, Sean Costello and more.
We also play music from Fairport Convention, Mavis Staples, Eva Cassidy, Dave Riley, Bob Corritorre and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Irving Berlin, Eric Burdon, Butch Trucks of the Allman Brothers Band and Roy Blumenfeld of the Blues Project. We remember Ed Halpern, one of the founders of the Philadelphia Folk Festival, and bluegrass great Lester Flatt on the anniversary of their deaths.

We give away a CD from Celtic instrumentalists Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill, and a blues CD from Clarence Spady.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
