What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

May 14, 2008 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1-3 p.m., on Sunday, May 18. This Sunday we will feature music by Carly Simon, Wink Keziah and Deluxe Motel, Sheryl Crow, Big Joe Turner, Bonnie Raitt and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "This Kind of Love," the latest release from Carly Simon. This is the first release in more than five years, and it consists of new songs, most of them written by or co-written by Carly Simon. The CD is produced by the great songwriter, Jimmy Webb.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Working Songs for the Drinking Class" by Wink Keziah and Deluxe Motel. This is a fine CD of rocking Americana country sounds.
We play new music from Jack Williams, Christine Albert, Hayes Carll and more.
We also play music from the Hollies, Sheryl Crow, Terri Hendrix, Hubert Sumlin, Bonnie Raitt, Pinetop Perkins and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Big Joe Turner, George Strait and Paul Brady, and we remember songwriter Kevin Gilbert on the anniversary of his death.
Chicago folk singer Martha Berner visits the Virgin Islands with shows at the Fat Turtle on Thursday, Indigo Restaurant on Friday, and Hull Bay Hideaway on Sunday.
We give away a Greatest Hits CD from blues artist Jimmy Thackery and a copy of the latest Herbie Hancock CD, "The Joni Letters," which won album of the year at this year's Grammy Awards.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
