Memorial Services Held for Jacques-Pierre Bertrand

May 20, 2008 – Jacques-Pierre Bertrand, also known as "Yagga," passed away on April 29, at the age of 28. Jacques-Pierre attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School and was a very active member of the U.S. Virgin Island's Superior Court's Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra and Pan-in-Motion.
The memorial service was held at 9 a.m., on Saturday, May 17, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, followed by another memorial celebration at Magens Bay Beach at noon.
He is survived by his parents: Etienne and Beryl Bertrand; sister, Nicole Bertrand; twin brother, Jean-Philippe Bertrand; paternal grandmother, Ernestine Bertrand; and maternal grandmother, Janet Martin; He is also survived by great uncle, Father Joseph Bertrand, C.S.S.R.; great aunts: Marion, Una and Eldra Bertrand; uncles, Edison, Andre' and Edward Bertrand (godfather); aunts, Annette, Kathleen and Loretta Bertrand, and L'Tanya Martin (godmother) and a host of relatives in the Bertrand, Faucette, Muse and Martin families as well as extended family and friends.
His funeral was held on Saturday, May 10, in Moorestown, New Jersey, and was laid to rest in Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, N.J.
