Dear Source:
There will be no end to rate increases for WAPA customers until WAPA gets off oil and becomes efficient. What I really resent is being forced to pay more and more when the government continues to pay nothing. Privatization has been suggested. That isn't going to work without competition and without efficiency in the work force from the top down. Increases in the face of this economy, the lack of progress in using renewable power sources, and the continued failure of the government to pay its bills are apt to result in an uprising from the community.
A modest proposal: What if all private WAPA customers refuse to pay their bills until the government pays in full and continues to keep current? Could WAPA possibly cut off power to all of us? That would be an economic stimulus to all of us. If government can get away with not paying, why can't we?
I'm getting sick of hearing about WAPA's same old requests to the PSC. Since WAPA keeps doing the same thing they have been doing, why should they expect a different result? Who is gaining from WAPA's refusal to change? Am I missing something here?
