Dear Source:
It is 2:42 a.m. and I am sitting here in my patrol vehicle in Walt Disney World, Orlando, reading your paper online. I am happy to see that Reuben has turned a negative into a positive. I am St. Kitts-born but Crucian-raised. I was in Mr. Nugent's class in 10th in Central with Robert Dowling and competed against Rhea Dowling and her Civil Air Patrol as a member of the Virgin Islands Police Pre-Cadets in St. Croix 73-78.
We learn nothing if we continue doing the same things but expecting different results. I can understand why he stopped smiling while incarcerated and it is a shame that our smile as islanders is often viewed by those who do not know our culture as a weakness. As a law enforcement officer I am often times forced to take my smile off my face because violators and offenders think it is a sign of weakness. Tell Reuben that I would love to read his books and to keep smiling and writing. Are any of his books available online? One of the ways that he can sell his books is to put them online as e-books and the customers pay for the instant download.
