Animals Deserve Justice Too

Dear Source:

Postponing this Animal Cruelty Case, the first one ever to be brought to trial in St. Thomas, is an outrage! Are our animals and pets here not as important as people? Our pets are living breathing lovely creatures and should never be abused. And, if they are, the person(s) who are responsible, should be charged, and if found guilty, get the maximum penalty for such cruelty. Our pets are similar to our children, most of them depend on us for love, food and shelter. If "Max" the poor dog that was abused had been a child, I assure you this case would have already been disposed of in a timely manner.
I for one am appalled at the lack of concern or caring by our judicial system. Shame on you.
