Lighted Boat Parade to Be Held in Harbor

The Virgin Islands Charter Yacht League and the St Thomas-St John Chamber of Commerce have organized the ninth annual Lighted Boat Parade to be held on Friday evening, Dec. 19, in the St. Thomas Harbor. All types of boats will be on parade and will be judged on the originality and creativity of their decorations and lighting.
This year the parade will partner with Yacht Haven Grande. To entice boats from the East End and Red Hook area, the marina will be offering free overnight slips to furthest traveling participants. Reservations are required as limited space is available, and boats will be charged for any water and electricity used.
For reservations, call Kristen Galloway, YHG marina manager, at 774-9500.
To register your vessel, contact VICL Director Erik Ackerson at 774-3944. While there is no entry fee, all boats must meet standard marine safety requirements and be properly registered and insured.
