United Way of St. Croix Receives $25,000 Donation

The Source
Dec. 23, 2008 — The United Way of St. Croix this week received a $25,000 donation from Innovative Telephone and ICC.
E. Clarke Garnett, president and CEO of Innovative, presented the check Monday to Ana L. “Anita” Davila, president of United Way of St. Croix.
“The Innovative employees throughout the Innovative family of companies proudly support the United Way of St. Croix,” Garnett said. “We are extremely proud to donate $25,000 to United Way of St. Croix because we are encouraged by their outstanding work and dedication to the less fortunate of our community."
The company also challenged its employees to match the donation through payroll deduction offered by United Way of St. Croix. Workplace giving through payroll deduction is a small amount deducted per paycheck that adds up to a larger annual gift. Employee payroll deduction is tax-deductible.
Davila thanked Innovative on behalf of the board, staff and member agencies which benefit from the donation.
“We can always count on Innovative Telephone & ICC for their support of United Way of St. Croix and our member agencies,” she said.
Garnett was joined at the presentation ceremony by Bernice Kight of the company's office of charitable giving. Also joining Mrs. Davila for the presentation were the member agencies of United Way of St. Croix.
