Cynthia Maria Kinney Dead at 79

Cynthia Maria Kinney of Tulipan Welcome died on Jan. 13. She was 79 years old.

She survived by her daughters: Dinora Kinney Shervington, Rhenita Maria Kinney, Moncia Hansen and Brenda Bastian; son, Vernon Michael Fabio; companion, Vincil England; grandchildren: Vernon Michael Fabio Jr., Joel Fabio, Kirsten Fabio, Dwayne Fabio, Crystal Monique Behagen, Leighton Andrew Shervington, Sydney Victoria Kinney and Emmett Tre Hansen III; and great-grandchildren: Caleb Michael Fabio, Leila Ana Fabio, Najah Lita Fabio, Elijah Bernard Fabio, Amiya Marcel, Alyssa Marcel, Kyla Fabio, Layla O’Reilly, Nyah O’Reilly, Isiah Fabio and Khalil Fabio. She is also survived by sons-in-law: Leighton Shervington and Emmett Hansen II; cousins and other relatives: Ketura Francis and family, Eleanor Charles and family, Freddie Francis, and Johannes Lenharat and family; special friends: Ada Acoy, Norma Glenn, Sylvia, Ives, Iris Browne, Juliet Isaroon, Zila Sharmouj, Phillis Charles, Gloria Waterman, Patricia Singh, Naomi Cornelius, Eunice Crossley and Sarah Dratte; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Christiansted Cemetery.
