Ballpark Shootout Leaves Two Dead in Frydenhoj

Police on St. Thomas say two men apparently killed each other in a shootout Monday night near the ballpark in Frydenhoj.
Police said they believe Vince David, 41, and Sheldon Beausoliel, 25, “were involved in a shootout and died as a result of each others’ gunshots,” according to a statement issued Tuesday.
When police and emergency medical personnel responded to the 10:30 p.m. shooting, they found David lifeless and Beausoliel barely hanging on. Beausoliel was taken to Schneider Regional Medical Center, where he died.
Police recovered two firearms at the scene — a Glock 9mm and a Smith & Wesson 9mm, which they believe may be the murder weapons, according to the statement.
St. Thomas/St. John District Police Chief Rodney Querrard Sr. said the medical examiner will confirm the exact cause of death for the two victims.
