Registration Open for Beach-to-Beach Power Swim, Last Practice Swim Slated

Early Registration for the 7th Annual Beach-to-Beach Power Swim

At 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 30, Friends of V.I. National Park will host its seventh annual Beach-to-Beach Power Swim. The race consists of three courses: a short course from Maho to Cinnamon, about 1 mile; an intermediate course from Maho to Trunk Bay, about 2-1/4 miles; and a long course from Maho to Hawksnest, about 3-1/2 miles. Swimmers may compete as an individual or as part of a 3-person team. Swimmers may also compete in the assisted category using snorkel and/or fins.
Register by May 7 for $30! General registration will continue from May 8-28 for $40; late registration, available only at the Pre-Race Meeting on May 29, is $50. Swimmers can register either online at www.friendsvinp.org/swim, by phone at 779-4940, or in person at: the Friends of the Park Store in Mongoose Junction; Connections in either Cruz Bay or Coral Bay; at Caribbean Surf Co. at Red Hook and Havensight locations on St. Thomas; or at SCUBA on St. Croix.
Are you preparing for the 7th annual Friends Beach-to-Beach Power Swim?
Join Friends of Virgin Islands National Park on Sunday, May 16, for the 3rd and final practice swim before the big race. Meet at Maho Bay beach at 8:30 a.m. and swim the course of your choice – Cinnamon, Trunk or Hawksnest. Safety boats will be in the water for support. Swim assisted (with fins, mask, snorkel) or swim unassisted. St. Thomians, there is plenty of time to take the 7:30 a.m. ferry.
