Iolda Pamela Martin Dies at 58

Iolda Pamela MartinIolda Pamela Martin, also known as "Ola," of Paradise Mills died on May 12, at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was 58 years old.

She survived by her mother, Henrietta Samuel; father, Walter Martin; daughters: Cheryl Hughes, Brenda Matthews, Cynthia Richardson and Laura Turbe; sons: James Benjamin, Justin Hughes, Steve Hughes and Terrence Turbe; grandchildren: Louis and Raheem Edwards, Jamel Turbe, Earleesha Yhan, Clarence, Nicole and Joseph Matthews, Shalika, Shalaya and Shimika Vanterpool, Cherissa and Melissa Carrillo, Justina and Mataesha Hughes, Eve and D’andre Hughes, O’Dirah, Kerisha, Tiana, Tiara Hughes, Shamyra, Daniel, Dion, Deshawne, Denzel, Shimika, Devorn, Zenaeza, Zakiah Benjamin, Chea Jarvis, Ambreana Schmidt and K’maya Allong; and great-grandchildren: Jahmour and Me’Caiya Carrillo. She is also survived by daughters-in-law: Hazel Hughes and Shantal Turbe; sons-in-law: Charleston Jarvis and Clarence Matthews; sisters: Clydella, Veronica and Alice Martin, and Eloise Hazel; brothers: Alvin Williams, Winston Henry and Keithroy Henry; nieces: Sanger and Sandy Stapleton, Latoya and Shinika Chelcher, Ruth Coggins, Judith, Kenisha and Michelle Johannes, Ellie, Allie Keene, Dion Nisbett, Sharon Davis, Anika, Tasha and Tasheba Henry, and Tisha Williams; nephews: David Martin, Glenroy Coggins, Darrel Paul, Melvin Johannes, Thomas Concepion, Norman and Ivan Keene, Shawn Nesbitt and Dennis Henry Jr.; special friends: Sharon Jackson, Daney Kirby, Martina and Mitch, Matthews, Linda George, Kathrine and Frank, and Tim (Bosses), Audrey, Christine, Samuel Lee, George Richardson, John Turbe and Canoa; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 28, at Southside Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery
