Two men were arrested Tuesday on domestic violence charges in separate cases. One was also accused of rape, and the other accused of assaulting his girlfriend.
The V.I. Police Department said Akeem Daniel, 28, of Estate Anna’s Retreat, was charged with aggravated assault and battery/domestic violence for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend at a private residence in the Oswald Harris Court housing community.
Shortly before 6 p.m., Ralph M. Wilson, 49, of Estate Solberg, was arrested and charged with first-degree rape/domestic violence. Wilson was accused of raping his ex-girlfriend in Estate Solberg.
Bail for Wilson and Daniel was denied due to the domestic violence law. They were remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
