Police on St. Croix arrested 46-year-old Felix Santana Monday after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a fence.
Officers responded to the auto accident about 12:30 a.m. Police said an officer looked into the vehicle and saw several plastic baggies containing a white powdery substance, which tested positive as cocaine. Approximately 11 grams of powder cocaine were found in the vehicle, police said.
Santana allegedly failed both the field sobriety and the Breathalyzer tests, was arrested, and charged with driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Santana was held on a $10,000 bail and remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
