Crucian Christmas Royalty Retrospective: A Look Back in Visuals

Queens, Princesses, Duchesses, and an occasional Prince and Duke have held court over the Christmas festivities on St. Croix. The contests, usually held on a Sunday in mid-December, have been a source of delight for all ages. As contestants took the stage in formal wear, cultural wear, and costumes for the talent competition, audiences have applauded, cheered, and reveled in the pageantry. Enjoy this look back to the Queen contest, which started in 1952, and the Princess contest, which followed in 1953.

Take a look to see who you know. More events will follow in retrospect as our Christmas season unfolds.
