Man Stabbed in the Neck at Market Square on St. Thomas

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the neck Sunday night at the Sanderilla Thomas Bungalow at Market Square on St. Thomas. 

The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to the scene around 11:05 p.m., where a witness said he was sleeping when he woke and observed a silhouette walking toward the victim from the southern side of the bungalow, according to a V.I. Police Department report issued Monday night.

The witness said he saw the individual stab the victim twice around his neck with an object, police reported.  

Officers spoke with the victim, who was being treated at Schneider Regional Medical Center, but he declined to provide a statement, according to the report. The man had a small laceration under his chin on the left side, it said.
