Dimensions of Wellness Tourism Lecture to be held on April 11, 2024, with Dr. Leonard Jackson, Ph.D. The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) invites the university community and the public to hear an insightful presentation by Leonard A. Jackson, Ph.D., founding director of the Hospitality Management Program at Kennesaw State, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Thursday, April 11, in the 13D Research and Strategy Innovation Center in the first-floor conference room.

During his talk, titled “Dimensions of Wellness Tourism,” Jackson will share his expertise on entrepreneurial opportunities in hotel and tourism management.

Jackson, who holds a Ph.D. in Hospitality and Tourism Administration, has held leadership roles at Hyatt Corporation and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.

The lecture is sponsored by 13D Research and Strategy and Innovation.

UVI School of Agriculture to hold Farm Safety Workshop on April 15 The University of the Virgin Islands School of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service will conduct a Farm Safety Workshop on “Using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 15, on the Orville E. Kean Campus in the New House Building, Room 204.
