The Virgin Islands Department of Health is advising the public of additional office closures due to the power outages caused by Tropical Storm Ernesto.

On St. Croix, the closures also include the Community Health and Maternal Child Health clinics, and the Communicable Diseases Division located at the former Caribe Home Center at Castle Coakley.

On St. John, the Morris F. deCastro Clinic is also closed today.

Earlier, the department announced the closure of the offices of Environmental Health and Vital Records and Statistics located at Sion Farm on St. Croix.

On St. Thomas, the closures include the offices of Environmental Health, Communicable Diseases, Vital Records and Statistics, Information Technology, and some Finance operations that are located in the John S. Moorehead Complex at Hospital Ground.

All other V.I. Department of Health offices are open for normal operations today.

The V.I. Water and Power Authority is working to energize pockets of the territory without power following TS Ernesto’s strong winds and rain.
