The Knud Hansen Complex closed on Wednesday at 8 a.m. due to a broken WAPA mainline in downtown Charlotte Amalie that has led to a lack of running water at that facility and others, the Human Services Department announced.
In addition, the Head Start Savan, Bergs Home Head Start, and Sugar Estate Head Start are also closed, DHS reported. Classes will resume on Thursday, it said. The St. Thomas STRIVE Senior Recreational Center will also be temporarily closed. Congregate meals will be home-delivered to clients in the afternoon, according to DHS.
