Friday, July 2, 1999, is not a holiday for government workers, Government House reminded employees in a Thursday evening statement.
Saturday, July 3,is a public holiday in observance of Danish West Indies Emancipation Day. Sunday, July 4, is Independence Day, and will be observed by all government employees on Monday, July 5.
Members of the District 2A, formerly MEBA, are entitled to one personal leave day to be taken within 12 months of the holiday. The personal day, however, must be requested in advance and approved by the department or agency head, the statement said.
