DISASTER RESPONSE OFFICIALS ASSESS PREPAREDNESS

Government emergency service coordinators met Wednesday at the V.I. Territorial Emergency Management Agency offices on St. Thomas to assess the territory's preparedness for the hurricane season.
Department and agency representatives gave progress reports and identified problem areas regarding their response capability and implementation of the territory's overall disaster preparedness plan, a Government House press release stated.
The release gave no details on the problems that were identified.
