I think that there seems to be an almost total disrespect for authority here. The police officer warned the attackers and had every right to defend himself.
Being a police officer is a thankless job; they put their lives on the line for people everyday. I salute the police department and wish that the general public would cooperate more by giving information when they witness a crime.
The police cannot do everything, the public must be a partner and want to stop crime.
