FALL TRAVEL ENTICEMENTS: FIFTH NIGHT FREE, $100

Sept. 5, 2003 – A free night's lodging and free money to spend are the centerpieces of the "Fall into America's Caribbean" promotion being offered by the Tourism Department, the territory's two Hotel and Tourism Associations, American Express and participating local businesses.
Between Oct. 1 and next Jan. 10, travelers can stay for a fifth night free at participating hotels and resorts when booking a minimum four-night stay. And upon check-in, they will receive a $100 American Express Travelers Cheque which can be used for such things as sailing, snorkeling, shopping or dining at any of numerous restaurants.
Guests also will receive the gift of a Crucian hook bracelet and a Passport to Savings booklet filled with coupons worth more than $1,000 in savings at visitor attractions, restaurants, shops and other venues on St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John.
And for those who choose to visit St. Croix, there's an extra, added attraction: Those who return for another visit within the next 12 months will be entitled at that time to a $100 credit for their total stay at any participating St. Croix hotel.
To qualify for the program, arrangements must be booked by Dec. 15 through a travel agent. Certain blackout dates apply at some properties. Details are available from travel agents and from the respective hotels.
Following are the properties participating in the promotion:
St. Thomas — The Anchorage, Antilles Resorts, Best Western Carib Beach Resort, Best Western Emerald Beach Resort, Bolongo Bay Beach Club, Holiday Inn Windward Passage Hotel, Marriott Frenchman's Reef Beach Resort, Point Pleasant, Renaissance Grand Beach Resort, Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina, Sapphire Village, Secret Harbour Beach Resort and Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa.
St. Croix — The Buccaneer Hotel, Carambola Beach Resort, Chenay Bay Beach Resort, Club St. Croix, Colony Cove, Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort, Frederiksted Hotel, Hotel Caravelle and Sugar Beach Condominiums.
St. John — Westin Resort and Villas.
