Police Have Identified Tuesday's Homicide Victim

Sept. 3, 2004 — The V.I. Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide that occurred Tuesday morning in Bolongo Bay.
According to a release issued by police Friday, the victim is 38-year-old Lawrence Parson, an Estate Brookman resident.
Parson was found lying on the ground in the Bolongo Bay area at approximately 1:40 a.m. Tuesday. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Roy L. Schneider Hospital that same morning.
Police said that concerned residents in the area had reported to 911 that shots had been fired in the area 10 to 15 minutes before Parson's body was found. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unknown.
An investigation into Parson's death is continuing, the release said. Anyone with information concerning Parson's death should contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 715-5522, the Major Crime Unit at 715-5546 or 911.
All calls will be held in the strictest of confidence, according to the release, and individuals may be entitled to a reward for the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons involved.
The murder is the ninth in the St. Thomas – St. John district in 2004 and the territory’s 23rd killing.
