Labor Day 5K to Advocate Prostate Cancer Awareness

Aug. 30, 2006 – The Virgin Islands Pace Runners will have their 23rd annual Labor Day 5K Road Race at 7 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 4, in Frederiksted to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is a tough opponent. Although one is six men wil1 get prostrate cancer, if caught early enough, nearly 100 percent will survive.
The race will start and finish at Fort Frederik. This year following the race, VI Pace Runners and others will talk about how to deal with this disease.
