A Reaction to Collin Hodge's Success

Dear Source:
I would like to commend Ms. Bedminster on the wonderfully written profile of Collin Hodge. It was crisp, concise, and truly representative of Collin and his focused determination to succeed.
Collin Hodge is a professional. As a promoter/producer Collin has earned respect within the industry. Not only within the hierarchy and upper management ranks of artist managers and agents, and the artists themselves, but also within the markets his productions target. If it's a "Massive Production" attendees are guaranteed a professional production, and a product equal to, or exceeding, the price of admission. This equates to event goers getting "bang for their buck!" Reaching this level requires someone who handles themselves, and their business, with an extraordinary amount of honor and integrity, not to mention an incredible amount of attention to detail. It's not easy.
Evidence of his good intentions is his knowing that one must "give back." The Source article exposed this side of Collin, and it has created an even greater respect in me for the man. Not only is he a consummate professional, but through his philanthropic position, he could well serve as a fine example for all of us.
As happens way too often, excellence, professionalism and success garner an enemy in the form of those working diligently to cause harm to the efforts of the Collins of this land. These enemies spew slander, attempt to derail successful productions, and it sometimes seems as if they're even losing sleep at night in trying to come up with ways to cause harm, both professionally and privately. I have been an interested observer of Collin's promotion/production career over the past 10-15 years and can attest to the fact that while many enemies have reared their ugly heads, "taken their best shot," and gone to great lengths to discredit him, he has persevered and maintained his focus on his goals. Thank goodness, he has done so quite successfully.
As the old adage goes: "Success is the best revenge!" Collin Hodge's climb up the ladder of success has just begun.
