Sept. 27, 2006 – The University of the Virgin Islands Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center is offering a program for individuals interested in the hospitality industry. The Beverage Equipment Service Technician Program will be held from 5:30-9 p.m., Monday, Oct. 16, through Friday, Oct. 20, in the CELL Center on the UVI St. Thomas campus.
The program will fill help fill a void in the local food and beverage industry, where a shortage of qualified beverage equipment service technicians exist. This program focuses on preventative maintenance of specific coffee and tea brewing equipment.
