"I have grown increasingly troubled by the increase in crimes committed by the youth in our community," said Samuel, who will join Salley at the press conference and other events. "I reached out to Mr. Salley through a mutual friend because he is a great example to our youth of how sports can be a viable alternative to violence."
Samuel continues: "Salley is also a businessman interested in investment opportunities in our community and through the American Basketball Association, which holds great potential to boost our economy.
During Salleys visit, Samuel will sponsor a VIP reception for investors interested in learning how to start an ABA team in the Virgin Islands.
