Nov. 27, 2006 – Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen today wrote to the members of the 25th Legislature urging them not to limit the proposed $300,000 appropriation for a feasibility study on Innovative Corporation to just a purchase by the government of the Virgin Islands.
"I write to respectfully suggest that if you should vote to provide this appropriation, you should expand the study to include the feasibility of purchase by a cooperative of VI consumers, purchase by GERS, the pros and cons of each, as well as of a sale to another private entity." Christensen wrote.
She also urged the legislators to insure that there is full public input in the process.
