Brief: Man Charged with Attempted Murder in March 27 Incident

Aug. 3, 2007 — Police have arrested a man on attempted-murder charges in a March 27 shooting incident around the Internal Revenue Bureau parking lot.
Don M. Todman has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, possession of an unlicensed firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of ammunition, according to a news release from the V.I. Police Department. A St. Thomas man was shot multiple times and treated at Roy L. Schneider Regional Medical Center.
Judge Brenda Hollar signed a warrant for Todman’s arrest May 8. On Friday, a VIPD investigator and a corrections officer extradited Todman from Houston, Texas, and escorted him back to the territory. Todman was unable to post the $100,000 bail and was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections, police said.
