Nov. 25, 2008 – The general public is informed that non-emergency services through the Knud Hansen Complex Building on St. Thomas have been impacted by the large-scale power outage at WAPA, according to a press release from Commissioner of the Department of Human Services Christopher Finch. The power outage continues to have an impact on power supplies throughout St. Thomas and St. John, and the department is advising that the St. Thomas Complex Building has temporarily suspended its non-emergency services for the rest of the day.
Finch advises that services to the community, including Meals on Wheels, Head Start programs and other services, were available this morning.
Services through the Knud Hansen Complex Building are expected to resume tomorrow morning.
