United Way of St. Croix and United Way International Will Co-host Caribbean Regional Meeting

The United Way of St. Croix, in partnership with United Way International, will host its Caribbean Regional Meeting Dec. 3-5, at Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort and Casino. The meeting is an annual forum for United Way staff, volunteers and board members to come together and discuss their common work. It is a unique opportunity for the organization's leaders to discuss challenges, expand knowledge and jointly work to strengthen the philanthropic landscape in the Caribbean.
Some of the scheduled speakers during the three-day regional meetings and workshops include Theresa Hall Bartels, president and CEO of United Way International; Gregory R. Francis, lieutenant governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands; and Michael Dembeck, executive director of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce.
A delegation of United Way International and United Way of St. Croix representatives will also take a tour of the V.I. Cardiac Center at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center as well as other areas in the community as part of its Community Impact Program, which has been created to further assess additional needs throughout the communities and increase community presence.
