Leonard M. Peters, also known as "Chen," of Mount Pleasant died on May 16, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 73 years old.
He survived by his spouse, Cyrene Peters; daughters: Paulette, Debbie, Brenda and Bernice; sons: Roger, Heartfield, Glentis, Junie and Pasquale; and grandchildren: Jahseek, Jahlea, Jahsay, Jahsiah, Latoya, Anne, Monifa, Jamie, Kevin, Zylah, Jamal, Duvare, Kesha, Kareem, Akeem, Monifa and Anmarie. He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Bernadine; son-in-law, Kydd Joseph; four sisters and families; two brothers and families; many nieces and nephews; cousins and other relatives: Cyril Techeira and family, and Wycliffe Gregory and family; special friends: the Hesky family, Mr. Lewis and family, Buster and family, Isiah Simon and family, Jery and family, and Odene and family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 28, at St. Luke A.M.E. Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
