Police Seek Missing, Runaway Teen

Detectives from the Juvenile Bureau on St. Thomas are looking for a missing, runaway 15-year-old female minor, identified as Ashia Thomas, the V.I. Police Department said Friday.

Thomas was last seen at about 5 p.m Thursday. Concerned citizens reported they saw Ashia Thomas wearing her Ivanna Eudora Kean school uniform on a safari bus near the Tutu Park Mall. The safari bus was headed towards town.

Ashia Thomas is 5 feet 2 inches tall and has a brown complexion. She weighs approximately 200 pounds and has bowed legs.

Police remind the public that although Thomas is labeled as a runaway it is imperative that she is located as soon as possible for her own safety.

Anyone, including family members, who assist a missing or runaway minor to evade police or stay away from home, can face criminal charges, according to police.

Anyone who has seen or knows the whereabouts of Ashia Thomas can contact the Juvenile Investigation Bureau on St. Thomas at 1-340-715-5540 or 1-340-715-5542, or call the 911 emergency dispatch center.
