News From the Office of Veterans Affairs

Eligible veterans who have been awaiting regular veterans’ license plates can now come to the Office of Veterans Affairs to be issued a set of plates. Only those who do not already have the maximum of two sets of plates are eligible. “In order to accommodate as many veterans as possible, we must put a limit on the number of plates that one veteran can get,” said Director Farrell.

In addition, veterans’ license plates can now be personalized. Once per quarter, veterans will be able to order personalized plates through the Office of Veterans Affairs; however, the personalized plates must be paid for by the veteran, while the regular plates are free to those eligible. Personalized plates cost $55 per set. This will begin Oct. 1. Orders will be taken the first 15 days of every quarter and then sent off as one package.
