On St. John, the office will remain open until 5 p.m.to accommodate the taxpayers on Wednesday, April 12 and Tuesday, April 18.

Taxpayers who are unable to file their 2016 returns by the April 18th due date are reminded they can file an extension by using Form 4868.  To obtain approval of the extension, the taxpayer must properly estimate the tax liability due and file the form no later than April 18. The extension is only for the filing of the tax return.  Taxpayers who owe taxes must pay the tax due on April 18 to avoid the failure to pay a penalty.

Questions about the extended office hours should be directed to Tamarah Parson-Smalls at 715-1040, ext. 2249.
