Gerard Alphonso Hall Dies at 79

Gerard Alphonso Hall

Gerard Alphonso Hall, also known as “Rookie,” of Estate Grove Place, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands died on April 21 at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was 79 years old.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Cleopha E. Hall; parents: Lazarus and Augustina Hall; sister, Ione Hall; and brother, Henry Hall.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison M. Hall; son, Gerard A. Hall Jr.; sisters: Inez Lang, Maria Hall, Eleanor Edney and Angela Santos; brothers: Elroy Hall and James Hall; sisters-in-law: Lorroley Hall and Elizabeth Lynch; brothers-in-law: Calvin Lang and Roberto Santos; aunt, Viola Henry; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention, with special acknowledgments to Treemont on the Park of Florida, the Thorvald McIntosh and Gerard A. Hall Sports Award Committee Inc., and the Family and Friends Rejuvenated Club Inc.

The family expresses their gratitude to all those who have supported them during this time of loss; however, due to the current situation and mandates, a private service and burial will be held. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
