Irene F.M. Harris

Irene F.M. Harris died on Feb. 10. She was 52 years old.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Hilda and Harry Harris Sr.; brothers: Edward Woodrup and James Harris; and son, Jason Henderson.

She is survived by her son, Wendell Parris III; daughter, Melaney Henderson; brothers: Harry Harris Jr., Alfred Harris and Olric Harris; her sister, Gloria Harris; grandchildren: K’layah Parris, Wendell Parris IV and Olivia Parris; nephews: Masai Harris, Kareem Harris, Jaime Harris, Rodante Moorehead, A’Jahnikai Harris and Alfredo Harris; and nieces: Shani Harris, Sativa Harris and Adriana Trotman; her great nieces: Halia and Naia Harris.

She is also survived by her uncle, Rafael Berrios Jr.; aunts: Rita Powell, Beryl Petersen and Velsina Berrios; sisters-in-law: Jackelyn Canton, Ruth Harris and Kanika Pennyfeather; cousins: Kathleen Plaskett, Milagros Berrios, Rose Rosario, Elenor, Emile, Ezekiel, Elroy and Elvis Pedro, Louis Jackson, and Coleen Clendinen; and godchildren: T’Keel Petersen, Taieel and Taiesa Williams, and Mikayel Santiago.

Other survivors include specials friends: Lahoma Roberts, Yvonne Galiber, Annette Delgado, Emelda Edwards, Patricia Dublin, Emmett Hansen III, Eli Jensen, Ladia Santiago, Ronald Marie, Luz Santiago, Guido Schjang, Roshown L., Sammy Wilson and families, the Parris, Henderson, Galiber families, the Department of Finance St. Croix and St. Thomas, Central High School and St. Joseph High School Class of 89 and IRB; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The family is requesting that those in attendance wear bright festive colors (pink, yellow, orange, green, blue).

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, March 2, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
