Elizabeth Encarnacion Torruella Dies at 66

Elizabeth Encarnacion Torruella

Elizabeth Encarnacion Torruella, also known as “Aly,” of Estate Adventure Hill transitioned into eternal peace on Dec. 21. She was 66 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leonor Ayala; and father, Nicholas Encarnacion.

She is survived by her daughters: Aneliz Eberhardt, Tashira Torruella and Leesa Leo; grandchildren: Edgar Eberhardt Jr., Veronica Eberhardt Santos, Briana Eberhardt, Alia Batista, Alina Batista, Jahriel Francis, Leeniyah Stoute, Shayalise Granville, Zenyla Leo and Zayla Leo; adopted granddaughter, Jessamine Willock;  great-grandson, Leonardo Santos; sisters: Felisa LaFontaine, Vilma Santana, Monica Encarnacion and Ineabelle Kring; and brothers: Jaime Vasquez Ayala, Luis Encarnacion, Francisco Encarnacion, Joel Encarnacion, Garibaldi Encarnacion and Claudio Encarnacion.

She is also survived by nieces: Daisy, Kathy, Jessica, Yimarie, Jessenia, Ocairy, Kimberly, Lycha, Nicole and Maria; nephews: Frankie, Gregory, Sonny, Cruz, Rashawn, Samuel, Kevin and Luis Jr.; great nieces: Coralies, Naishalee, Alexandria, Natasha, Karina and Jeida; great nephews: Frankie Jr., Justin, Nick, Joariam and Jovany; aunt, Zaily Encarnacion; uncle, Delfin Encarnacion; sons-in-law: Edgar Eberhardt Sr., Uland Leo Jr. and Leon Gilbert; sisters-in-law: Josefina Vasquez, Hermeian Encarnacion and Diana Encarnacion; grandson-in-law: Aldemar Santos Jr.; and godchildren: Jeida Sosa, Leroy Brooks Jr. and Jahlyma Lindquist.

Other survivors include special friends: Francisco, Valeria, Luz, Amelia, Oscalina, Aureo, Theresa, Gachy, Frank, Dora, Carmin, Junior, Wilma, Annie, Neida, Enno, Rafael, Aymee, Jeffrey, Benji, Juan (Pocholo), Mrs. Branch, Alicia, Marva, Brache, Bambi, the Bermudez family, the Flores family, the Torres family, the Turner family, the Narinesingh family, the Harris family, Mrs. Williams, Pito, Bernadette and Marisol; cousins and other relatives: Betty, Ginnie, Lisin, Cui, Maritza, Myra, Myrna, Eva, Mario, Nelly, Freddy, Liso, Chin-Chin, Ito, Eddie, Toñin, Jungo, Corporina, Glady, Glorivi, the Felix family, the Encarnacion family and the Ayala family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

There will be a family viewing from 5:30-7:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 8, at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.

The family requests those in attendance wear red or festive colors.
