VIPD Find Man Dead on Arrival After Falling Off Roof

A St. John man fell off his roof while painting Wednesday, ultimately leading to his death, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Michael Robert, 71, was painting on the second story of his roof while his wife was inside of the residence. At some point, Robert fell from the roof onto the ground. His wife went to check on him and subsequently contacted emergency medical services for assistance. However, he succumbed to his ailments after life-saving measures were not successful, according to the police report.

This case is presently under investigation pending medical examiner’s findings by the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Major Crimes Unit.
