Jamahl Smith, 28, of Hospital Ground, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree robbery in connection with an incident that occurred in the Estate Thomas area.
St. Thomas police arrested Smith at about 1 p.m. Monday after he was identified as one of the male suspects that entered a business and robbed a 47-year-old male victim of cash at gunpoint. Police said after robbing the victim, Smith left the area and headed into the Oswald Harris Court housing community.
Bail for Smith was set at $75,000. Unable to post bail he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
