St. Thomas Woman Rearrested and Charged for Theft and Forgery

A St. Thomas woman was rearrested for theft and forgery Friday, the V.I. Police Department reported.

After an investigation that began on Sept. 6, 2022, Daliqua Moses, 25, has been rearrested and charged with obtaining money by false pretenses, grand larceny and forgery, according to the police report.

During the initial investigation, a man reported that two checks were stolen from his checkbook, which was located at his place of employment, and the investigation later revealed that Moses stole the checks. She subsequently endorsed, forged and cashed two checks totaling over $3,000, the report stated.

Moses was rearrested Friday at the Bureau of Corrections due to a previous charge. Bail was set at $100,000 and Moses was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advice of rights hearing scheduled for Wednesday, police said.
