St. Thomas Man Shot During Robbery Scuffle

A man on St. Thomas was robbed at gunpoint and shot during a scuffle with the gunman, the V.I. Police Department reported Saturday.

VIPD was dispatched to Roy Schneider Medical Center Thursday in response to a gunshot victim, according to the police report.

The victim stated that while sitting in his vehicle in the area of Frenchtown, he was approached by a male dressed in black wearing a face covering, who then pointed a gun in his face while removing the victim’s jewelry from his hands and neck. The victim stated there was a struggle between him and the suspect, and the weapon was fired, leaving him with a wound to his left leg. The victim stated that he does not know who the suspect is or who is responsible, the police report stated.
