Man Arrested for Operating Stolen Vehicle

A man was arrested on St. Thomas Sunday for operating a stolen vehicle, the V.I. Police Department reported.

A silver 2016 Honda Pilot was discovered Sunday at about 1:30 p.m. by VIPD near Happy View Supermarket, according to the police report.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 51-year-old  Alvin Thomas. An investigation revealed that Thomas was found in possession of the stolen vehicle, and he was not given permission to operate the vehicle. He was subsequently arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle and vehicle tampering, the police report stated.

Thomas’ bail was set at $25,000, police said.
