St. Croix Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of Minor

A St. Croix man was arrested Thursday on a warrant for sexual assault of a minor, the V.I. Police Department reported.

On Nov. 21, 2022, the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the Frederiksted area. This complaint was investigated by members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau. The investigation disclosed that Kishsion Thomas, 35, touched a 14-year-old girl inappropriately. An arrest warrant was sought and obtained on April 20 for Thomas, and his bail was set at $35,000, according to the police report.

On May 4 investigators received credible information that Thomas had
returned to the island of St. Croix and was present at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport. Members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau executed said warrant on Thomas and he was arrested without incident. Thomas was unable to post the bail set and he was transported to the John Bell Correctional Facility pending his advice of rights hearing set for May 5 at the Superior Court at 9:00 am, the police report stated.
