St. Croix Man Dies Trying to Stop Moving Vehicle

A St. Croix man died Wednesday after attempting to stop a moving vehicle, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At approximately 10:19 a.m., officers were dispatched by the 911 Emergency Call Center to Estate Little Fountain to investigate a one-vehicle automobile collision, according to the police report.

When officers arrived on scene, they observed an unresponsive man lying in the driveway, the police report stated.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the man attempted to stop a moving vehicle as it began to roll downhill. Subsequently, the vehicle rolled over the man, resulting in his death, the report stated.

The male was identified by next of kin as 71-year-old Terry Stephen Watson, police said.
