Man Caught on Surveillance for Burglary on St. John

A man who was caught on surveillance video burglarizing a residence on St. John was arrested on St. Thomas, the V.I. Police Department reported Friday.

On Dec. 12, 2023, VIPD officers responded to a call to Chocolate Hole Sea Winds Villas Condominium on St. John at around 6:20 p.m. after a resident reported items missing in their home, according to the police report.

Officers responded to the location and were able to secure surveillance video of the suspect. On Dec. 28, 2023, officers received notification that the suspect, Jordan Lynch, 25, was spotted in the area of Main Street on St. Thomas, the police report stated.

As a result, Lynch was then arrested by the Criminal Investigation Bureau and taken into custody. Lynch’s bail was set at $25,000 pending his advice of rights hearing, the report stated.
