Photo Focus: Elmo Plaskett Little League Kicks Off 2024 Season with Parade

The Elmo Plaskett Little League kicked off its 2024 season on Saturday with a parade that began from the Sion Farm Shopping Center to the Rudy Krieger Ballpark on St. Croix.

Over 12 teams and more than 100 supporters came out to celebrate the beginning of the season. This year’s parade marshal was Patricia Browne, a long-standing Elmo Plaskett East Little League volunteer.

Teams that participated included the Braves, Cardinals, Cubs, Diamond Defenders, Indians, Spartans, Lil Braves, Giants, Lil Rebels, Dodgers, Pirates, and Royals, who all sported their uniforms while they marched.

The teams are grouped by age and players are between the ages of four and 16.

The Elmo Plaskett Little League is asking the community to come out and support the players. Games began on Friday and will lead into Sunday at 1 pm.
