Sen. Donna Frett-Gregory and the DFG Community Impact Foundation announce their upcoming event, “Inspire Inclusion,” in celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month. The event will take place on Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on the St. Thomas Waterfront Promenade.

This event marks the DFG Community Impact Foundation’s third annual celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, coinciding with the National Women’s History Month and locally recognized V.I. History Month. This year’s Women Trailblazer Honorees include Clema S. Lewis, director of the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix, and Raynette A. Cameron Richards, founder of VI Ray of Sunshine Inc.

The Inspirational Women Honorees are Sandye A. Wilson, reverend and dean of All Saints Cathedral Church, Sophia del Rosario, president of EMB Academy of Cosmetology Inc., and Anya Stuart, executive director of the Family Resource Center. The event will also recognize other women entrepreneurs, community leaders, and creatives.

“Inspire Inclusion” aims to bring women of diverse backgrounds together in a safe space for networking and idea sharing. Frett-Gregory, president of the DFG Community Impact Foundation, emphasized the importance of recognizing women, sharing their stories, and fostering connections among women.

The DFG Community Impact Foundation of the Virgin Islands is a non-profit organization dedicated to assessing community needs and providing support to improve the overall social and economic well-being of the community. The event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to wear white in support of women.
